Pool

Many people believe,
there are sufficient good potential "significant half"
Eventually you will meet one of them.
But only half of it is true.

They call it "pool" for a reason.
Under special circumstance in Chinese culture,
let's safely assume that MOST husbands are older than wives.
Then imagine there is a pool for single men and ladies.

For ladies looking for the other half, the pool is fixed.
YES, sadly, it is already fixed when you were born.
Your targets are those born before you, and there is a limit.
And there is continuous outflows:
married, dead, coming out of closet,
offset by inflows from divorced men.

For men, the pool is much better.
Outflows are married ladies,
but there is continuous inflow of fresh young girls.

To break this inequality,
one can change the perception that husband should be older,
(plus plastic surgery to keep one look young),
or simply one can choose not to marry to avoid this inequality (at will, not by force)
